This ongoing project is my attempt of rediscovering architecture by establishing painting as a form of architecture. It investigates painting as a spatial construct and critiques architecture’s desperate and constant repositioning into the 2-dimensional realm. Painting, on the contrary, has been perpetually reinventing its flatness into objecthood. Therefore, by exploiting the dialectical relationship between the two, painting might be able to break the many binary oppositions within the built environment and discover (for myself) the essence of architectural space.
